Schuetzenverein
More commonly known as King Shoot, this tradition is held annually on the first Sunday of June. From the start, it has been celebrated in the Hayes Township, where the 5 House is located. The year 2023 will mark our 140th year celebrating this German tradition. This event draws people from near and far. We start with a morning march, then move to announcements. The festivities start when the polka band strikes up and people populate the dance floor. We then have a lunch and start the contests for king, queen, and princess. This event is always sure to draw a fun crowd that makes this event such a success.
